Another U.S. House committee has approved the bill legislation that will defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business.
The House Budget Committee on Thursday narrowly approved the legislation even with some Republicans voting against it. The committee voted 19-17 to advance the defunding legislation to the House Rules Committee. All of the Democrats voted no on the bill as did three Republicans — Reps. Dave Brat of Virginia, Mark Sanford of South Carolina, and Gary Palmer of Alabama. They want more provisions added to fully repeal Obamacare. Republicans in Congress have released the American Health Care Act. Their plan to repeal Obamacare includes provisions that would revoke funding for Planned Parenthood. Under the legislation there is a provision in the bill that prohibits states from using “direct spending” on “prohibited entities” with federal funds allocated from the legislation and those entities include any entity that “provides for abortions.” That means the nation’s biggest abortion corporation — Planned Parenthood.
