Two U.S. senators are asking authorities for an update to a previous Judiciary Committee investigation, which issued criminal referrals for Planned Parenthood Federation of America and several affiliates and organizations connected to the sale of the body parts of aborted children. A press release issued by Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) this week states that he and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) “sent a letter to Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray following up on Grassley’s 2016 referral of eight organizations for investigation and potential prosecution for the alleged sale of human fetal tissue following a 2016 Grassley-led Committee investigation.” Grassley was the former Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman at the time of the hearings and states that in June, the FBI confirmed to the Committee they had received the referrals...
...“Preventing the illegal sale of human fetal tissue remains a priority for the Committee,” the Senators emphasized in this week’s letter, which asks that the FBI and DOJ answer the following questions no later than July 2, 2019:
St. Louis, MO – The Missouri Department of Health and Human Services, which is locked in a licensing battle with Reproductive Health Services Planned Parenthood in St. Louis, has filed a motion to unseal a May 28, 2019, Statement of Deficiencies and cover letter that was quickly sealed by order of Judge Michael Stelzer at RHS Planned Parenthood’s request before the DHSS had the opportunity to respond.
The state’s motion asks the court to unseal the documents because it was not allowed the opportunity to reply. It also provides information to debunk what the DHSS says are “meritless” arguments made by RHS Planned Parenthood in their motion to seal the record. It is easy to see why RHS Planned Parenthood was desperate to have the Statement of Deficiencies sealed. “It’s clear that RHS Planned Parenthood was attempting to hide the incriminating information contained in the report because it completely destroys their arguments that they provide safe abortions and are being somehow wrongly persecuted by the DHSS,” said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, which obtained a copy of the documents and published them prior to them being sealed by the Court. The 62-page Statement of Deficiencies contained horrifying information about deficient patient care practices that resulted in the hospitalization of four women who had suffered botched abortion procedures at RHS Planned Parenthood. In some cases, women were forced to endure multiple abortion attempts for the same pregnancy. June 20, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – A panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals today allowed the Trump administration to deny federal funding to entities that commit abortions on site, a temporary but significant victory for the pro-life movement. The court will continue to consider lawsuits against the rule while it is in effect.
In February, the Trump administration rolled out rules requiring facilities that receive family planning grant money Title X services to be physically separate from those that commit or refer for abortions. Under the previous rules, Title X services and abortions could “co-locate” in the same center, as long as the abortions were privately funded. The facilities receiving federal money must also be financially separate from abortion centers. This new regulation, called the Protect Life Rule, is expected to reduce Planned Parenthood’s federal subsidies by $60 million. LifeSite is now encouraging our supporters - and, anyone who cares about the pro-life cause - to 'Dump Netflix'...and cancel your current Netflix subscription. If you don't currently have a Netflix subscription, you can also sign this petition. It simply states that, until the company reverses this decision, you will not subscribe to their services. Make no mistake: Netflix declared war on unborn babies and on the pro-life movementwhen their Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, told Fox News that if the heartbeat law was to take effect, “we’d rethink our entire investment in Georgia,” and in the meantime “will work with the ACLU and others to fight it in court.” Those are fighting words, and as pro-lifers, we simply cannot continue to support huge corporations, like Netflix, which use monies gained from their clients' subscriptions, to defend and promote abortion...to work (lock, stock and barrel) against the unborn and the pro-life movement. (link to continue reading and sign petition) Planned Parenthood is calling a judge’s decision to keep one of its abortion clinics open a “victory for women.” But with its cited health violations – not to mention the unborn baby girls it destroys – the clinic run by the nation’s largest abortion provider endangers women.
On Friday, a St. Louis circuit judge issued a temporary restraining order to keep the doors of Missouri’s sole abortion clinic open. Reproductive Health Services of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region faced closure after the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) condemned it for “deficient practices.” While the DHSS had concerns following inspection in March, the AP also reported the DHSS visited Planned Parenthood in April due to a patient’s complaint. From there, the AP cited Planned Parenthood as saying the "investigation has identified a large number of potential deficient practices requiring explanation by the physicians directly involved in patient care, as well as the attending physicians." As a result, the DHSS refused to renew the clinic’s annual license unless all of its doctors agreed to interviews... ...Among other things, the DHSS said in a press release that same day, there was "at least one incident in which patient safety was gravely compromised" as well as "failed surgical abortions in which patients remained pregnant," “quality control and communication with a contracted pathology lab,” and “failure to obtain informed consent." For “Planned Parenthood – St Louis,” the site publicly shares reports for 2009, 2013, 2015, and 2016 from the DHSS. From those reports, Johnson’s site listed several health violations. First off, the site stressed, the clinic was dirty. Dust covered “equipment and supplies all over this clinic” as well as the “bin with emergency supplies.” The “refrigerator had not been cleaned in over 1 1/2 years according to a staff member” who “had no idea who was responsible for that.” There was also failure to “properly sterilize instruments that are used from woman to woman.” The clinic was also in need of repair and new equipment. There were “Expired meds, IV fluids, and supplies” with “Some as old as 6 years.” There were “Tears in the exam tables” which “could not be cleaned to ensure that women were not exposed to infections.” (read full article) |
