Chicago Newspapers Fail to Report 4,000 Pro-Lifers Who Shut Down the Illinois State Capitol3/27/2019
4,000 pro-lifers descended on the Illinois State Capitol – ultimately shutting it down for bringing the building to max capacity – and Chicago papers have hardly acknowledged the event ever took place.
The crowd gathered for a rally to oppose two bills – HB2467 and HB2495 – that attempt to repeal Illinois’ parental notification law and lift the Illinois ban on late term abortions (in addition to wiping the law of all other abortion regulations, which extremists call “getting rid of the bad stuff”). What a fantastic “Pro-life Action Day”! “Thank you pro-lifers” for coming to Jefferson City to stand up for the unborn and visit your legislators! You were GREAT! On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, the Senate Health and Pensions Committee passed Senate Committee Sub (SCS) of SB 279 out of committee: 5 yes (Senators Onder, Eigel, Koenig, Sater and White), 1 no (Senator Holsman) and 1 absent (Senator Schupp). This omnibus pro-life bill (SCS SB 279) includes the new version of the heartbeat bill, the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and the trigger bill to ban abortion when Roe v. Wade is overturned. In that same Senate hearing SB 388, sponsored by Senator Eric Burlison, was heard. SB 388 is the “Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act” to protect babies born alive after an abortion. It is unthinkable that we are even talking about this, but after New York, Virginia and other states are legalizing infanticide, we must speak out and ensure protection for these born-alive babies in Missouri! ON MONDAY, MARCH 25, AFTER THE LEGISLATIVE SPRING BREAK, WE WILL ASK YOU TO ….. TAKE ACTION! We must stay vigilant to get our strong pro-life bills passed and sent to the Governor! Beginning Monday, March 25 - Contact President Pro-Tem Dave Schatz at 573-751-3678 https://www.senate.mo.gov/mem26/ and Majority Floor Leader Senator Caleb Rowden at 573-751-3931 https://www.senate.mo.gov/mem19/. Wade is overturned as well as other great pro-life legislation! Please pass these bills to save babies and protect women! The nation is watching Missouri! The following statement is from Steve Rupp, President of Missouri Right to Life: Today, the Missouri House third read and finally passed HB 126 by a vote of 117 to 39. This bill is the strongest pro-life bill ever attempted in the United States. It has multiple provisions including the Pain-capable Unborn Child Protection Act language, which bans abortion at 20 weeks when unborn children are capable of feeling pain. This language is in effect in 16 other states and should go into effect in Missouri shortly after it is signed by Governor Parson... ...The bill will now go to the Senate for consideration. We call upon our pro-life Senate to take up HB 126 as passed in the House, pass it and send it to the Governor’s desk. (read full press release) |
