Planned Parenthood is, first and foremost, an abortion business. And the firing of its new CEO less than a year after she was hired provides even more proof.
On Tuesday, national news outlets broke the news that the billion-dollar abortion chain fired CEO Leana Wen after its board held a “secret meeting” about her. Apparently, Wen, a doctor, was not aggressive enough in pushing Planned Parenthood’s pro-abortion agenda. Wen basically admitted as much in a public statement after her firing. “For me, as a doctor and a public health leader … providing essential primary and preventive care to millions of under-served women and families should always be the driving force of Planned Parenthood’s work,” she said. “The new Board leadership has determined that the priority of Planned Parenthood moving forward will be to double down on abortion advocacy.” (read more) A federal appeals court today ruled President Donald Trump can partially defund planned Parenthood while the abortion business’ lawsuit against his administration’s new rules moves forward.
As LifeNews reported in March, the Trump administration finalized an administrative rule that would partially defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business and deprive it of as much as $60 million in taxpayer dollars. This action adds to President Trump’s record of defunding the Planned Parenthood abortion company. ...Last month, a three-judge panel from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted the Trump administration’s request to lift national injunctions ordered by lower federal courts in Oregon and Washington state, as well as a statewide injunction in California. The panel said the Trump administration will likely prevail in the legal battle over the Title X family planning program since similar Reagan-era rules were upheld by the Supreme Court almost 30 years ago. The full Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals then blocked the defunding while considering the case further. Today, the entire appeals court upheld defunding in a 7-4 decision with Republican-appointed judges upholding defended and Democrat judges forcing Americans to fund the abortion business. Daleiden has maintained from the beginning that he and the Center for Medical Progress followed all applicable laws in the course of its investigative journalism and that the lawsuit was politically-motivated retribution as opposed to a suit based on legitimate damages. In a big victory for the First Amendment freedoms of citizen journalists on Wednesday evening, a federal judge in San Francisco indicated his intent to decisively cut back Planned Parenthood’s retaliatory lawsuit against The Center for Medical Progress for the undercover videos documenting Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted baby parts. One young woman recently came to the BBC to share her story of regret and emotional turmoil from abortion.
At 19 years old, Laura Mann had an abortion at 21 weeks gestation after discovering at 12 weeks that she was pregnant. She told BBC News that she wasn’t well informed of what the abortion would be like. She also said she was pressured into it and felt she had no other choice... ...Mann’s reaction is quite common, though the abortion industry would attempt to convince women otherwise. Post-abortion syndrome, as it is sometimes called, is a form of post-traumatic stress disorder. Out of 30 studies, 29 of them show that abortion really is more consequential than simply getting a tooth pulled. It has negative psychological consequences, including a 154 percent increased risk of suicide, a tenfold spike in suicide attempts among post-abortive teen girls, a 65 percent increased risk of clinical depression, and a fivefold increase in drug and alcohol abuse. It is also common for women to feel pressured by the people close to them or their current life situation. In fact, a study published in the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons found that 73.8 percent of post-abortive women surveyed said they felt pressured into it. This is alarming, because it means close to 3/4 of women who have abortions haven’t actually freely “chosen” it at all. Women (and men) who are struggling with abortion regret can get help through programs such as Rachel’s Vineyard, Heartbeat International, and Ramah International, Project Rachel, and Silent No More. A national pro-life organization has issued its endorsement for President Donald Trump’s re-election bid, saying he has been dedicated to advancing pro-life principles as president.
Ahead of its 49th annual convention, the National Right to Life Committee endorsed pro-life President Donald Trump for his re-election. “As our nation celebrates Independence Day, we are proud to endorse the only presidential candidate who stands for the unalienable right to life,” said Carol Tobias, president of the National Right to Life Committee told LifeNews. “From his first day in office, President Trump and his Administration have been dedicated to advancing policies that protect the fundamental right to life for the unborn, the elderly, and the medically dependent and disabled.” NRLC said Trump has taken steps as president to ensure that Americans are not forced to fund abortions or the abortion industry. The decision reverses a three-judge panel ruling from the Ninth Circuit allowing the Trump administration to enforce the rule. As LifeNews reported in March, the Trump administration finalized a Title X grant rule that would partially defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business of about $60 million in taxpayer dollars annually.
