President Barack Obama has backed out of giving a keynote speech at a Planned Parenthood fundraiser on Thursday night after massive pro-life pressure.
As the Washington Times reports: White House spokesman Jay Carney announced the decision to cancel the keynote speech at the gala during his daily press briefing with reporters Wednesday. He attributed the schedule change to Mr. Obama’s desire to spend more time at a memorial service in Waco, Texas, for family members of the victims of the fertilizer plant explosion. Mr. Carney said the president will still address Planned Parenthood and its supporters Friday morning. Still, the shift to a lower-profile address at a more low-key morning event, rather than an evening gala fundraiser, is significant. Common pleas court Judge Jeffrey Minehart admitted he “erred” when dropping the murder charge for Baby C, who was killed in an abortion-infanticide when he was a victim of an attempted abortion but was born alive and tossed in a shoe box, with Gosnell staffers confirming they saw him breathing for 20 minutes. Gosnell faces eight total murder counts — one for killing a woman in a botched abortion and seven for killing babies in abortion-infanticides that involved live-birth abortions and snipping their necks after birth. The judge received heavy criticism yesterday for dropping three of the murder charges. We commend our representatives for taking a stand to expose the truth of abortion.
Today’s floor speeches are expected to take place after House votes today. The voting schedule is subject to change, but our best guess for the start of the floor speeches is 5:00 p.m. ET. Indiana’s Third District Congressman, Marlin Stutzman, is leading the floor speeches and we expect pro-life members from across our great nation to join him. Kermit Gosnell is currently on trial in Pennsylvania for killing babies after botched abortions and for murdering a woman undergoing an abortion. The details of this case are breathtaking – but the mainstream media has failed to give appropriate attention to this case. If the Gosnell trial continues without attention, the abortion lie also continues. (read more and how you can help) Spotlight for the Week
On Tuesday, April 9th , the Missouri House Rules Committee heard HCR 35 which requests the Attorney General to appeal the ruling by Judge Audrey Fleissig on SB 749 which was passed in the 2012 legislative session. SB 749 seeks to give protection for our religious institutions and people of faith not to be forced to participate in any insurance plan that requires the inclusion of abortion causing drugs or devices. On Thursday, April 11th, the Missouri House took up and passed HCR 35 by a strong bi-partisan vote of 111 to 38. On this same day, Attorney General Koster announced that he will not appeal Judge Fleissig’s ruling. Priority Pro-Life Legislation SB 175 & HB 400 - Establishes the requirements for the administration and regulation of RU-486 and other abortion-inducing drugs and chemicals and would ban web-cam abortions in MO. When web-cam abortions began in Iowa they went from approximately 5 abortion clinics to 17. We do not want this to happen in Missouri! SB 175 is sponsored by Senator Wayne Wallingford. Chairman of the Senate Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence Committee, Senator Bob Dixon reported SB 175 do pass to the Senate, April 4. SB 175 is now on the Senate Formal Calendar, Senate Bills for Perfection. We ask the Senate to take up and pass SB 175 to stop web-cam abortions in Missouri. HB 400 is sponsored by Representative Jeanie Riddle and 114 other House members (a veto proof bi-partisan majority). HB 400 is on the House Calendar for Perfection. The 3801 Lancaster Film Project is an ongoing documentary series about Kermit Gosnell, the Women’s Medical Society, and the cover-up by state and local oversight agencies. As we continue to follow the story, our goals are two-fold: first, to make the public aware of what happened at the Women's Medical Society, second, to give Gosnell's victims an outlet to tell their stories. (link to film) *Warning: film contains graphic footage* Infant beheadings. Severed baby feet in jars. A childscreaming after it was delivered alive during an abortion procedure. Haven't heard about these sickening accusations?
It's not your fault. Since the murder trial of Pennsylvania abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell began March 18, there has been precious little coverage of the case that should be on every news show and front page. The revolting revelations of Gosnell's former staff, who have been testifying to what they witnessed and did during late-term abortions, should shock anyone with a heart. NBC-10 Philadelphia reported that, Stephen Massof, a former Gosnell worker, "described how he snipped the spinal cords of babies, calling it, 'literally a beheading. It is separating the brain from the body." One former worker, Adrienne Moton, testified that Gosnell taught her his "snipping" technique to use on infants born alive. "Mr. Speaker, will the decades-long major national news media cover-up of the brutality—and violence—of abortion methods ever end? Will Americans ever be told the horrifying details as to how—and how often—abortionists dismember, decapitate, and chemically poison innocent babies? ...Dr. Kermit Gosnell is on trial for eight counts of murder. One count is for the death of a woman who died during an abortion at his clinic. Seven counts are for babies who survived their abortion and were born alive but then killed by severing their spinal cords with a pair of scissors. ...Again I ask. When will the media blackout stop? Will America ever be told about the brutality of abortion and the violence that is commonplace inside the abortion industry? Or will the media continue to censor this trial of the century, because it exposes an all too inconvenient truth that not only are unborn children destroyed in these killing centers, but that even babies who survive the abortion can’t escape the deadly hand of the child predator. (link to full article and video) A federal judge ruled Friday that the morning-after pill known as Plan B must be made available over the counter for women of all ages.
The decision on the controversial subject comes after lengthy legal battles over who should have access to the pill and at what age. The Food and Drug Administration had initially decided to allow the emergency pill to be available for young teens. But Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius overruled the FDA in late 2011, and the agency limited availability without a prescription to women 17 and older. The decision Friday by U.S. District Judge Edward Korman ordered the FDA to make the pill, commonly referred to as the abortion pill, available for all ages. The decision means that unless the FDA appeals and is granted a stay, by this time next month a teenager 16 or under could walk into a local pharmacy and buy the pill off the shelf. Here is a link to their contact info: http://www.fda.gov/AboutFDA/ContactFDA/ Also, here is a link to contact the U.S. Dept. of Justice http://www.justice.gov/contact-us.html Remember to be courteous and present your concerns with facts The abortion industry doesn’t like it when women are told what they’re carrying during a pregnancy. They avoid the word “baby” at any cost. At best, they’ll use the word “fetus.” But often used are dehumanizing phrases such as “clump of tissue” or “product of conception,” used specifically to mask the fact that the mother will be killing her child. Giving false medical information is another common tactic. And it’s all designed to rob the unborn baby of his or her inherent humanity.
Perhaps this is why a Planned Parenthood spokesperson advocated for allowing doctors to kill babies who survive an abortion, or why pro-aborts on a major news network repeatedly call unborn babies “things.” Failed abortions bring up an awfully uncomfortable truth for the abortion industry. Because what happens when an abortion fails is what pro-aborts so desperately try to hide. It’s not a product of conception, or a clump of tissue that’s growing. It’s a baby. Failed abortions reveal who it is who’s being killed. (read more) What do you get when you combine a gifted football player with an award-winning Christian music singer?
