Another 40 Days for Life campaign has come to an end — and we can look back now at lives FOREVER CHANGED.
During these 40 days, there have been … … 508 lives saved — that we know of — because of God’s response to your prayer! From past campaigns, we expect the number to KEEP GROWING, as our local campaign leaders get their final reports in. (link to blog) Day 38- 452 babies saved
We’re nearing the end of this 40 Days for Life campaign. From all the stories I’ve heard … bringing light into darkness really does seem to be a major theme this fall. Have you brought the light of Christ to the 40 Days for Life vigil yet? Make this weekend count! God could use YOU to help save the life of a child scheduled to be aborted. It’s been done hundreds of times already in the last 37 days! Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a Florida Democratic congresswoman chosen by President Barack Obama to head the party, called making such a statement “an extreme and radical step,” according to a new CNS News report.
“For the vast majority of Americans, including people on both sides of the abortion issue, this is an extreme and radical step,” she told reporters on a conference call and adding that it is supposedly a “divisive, dangerous, and destructive” attack on women. Worldwide, officials declared babies born in their country as the symbolic 7 billionth person.
Reporters snapped pictures as babies were greeted with cheers and presents. With the stage set, UN and government leaders then gave statements warning of over-burdening the world with consumers. Jason Jones has launched Movie to Movement to move the movie-going experience in a positive direction and he recently sat down with the BeliefNet web site to talk about what he’s doing. JASON JONES: Well, Movie to Movement is actually the fruit of Bella. With Bella, in order to get distribution, we really had to build out an entire network of support. Even after winning the Toronto Film Festival we really didn’t have distribution, so we just went and built this massive grass roots network of support for the film. And then we found distribution and Bella was a tremendous success both theatrically and on DVD. And when Bella was in theaters, we would pray every morning that women who were pregnant and considering an abortion would buy a ticket. And, after the theatrical release and it went to DVD, I said let’s use these networks to provide DVDs to pregnancy centers. As LifeNews reported, the nurses filed a lawsuit against their employer, the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, which told them they had to either assist in abortions or risk losing their jobs. The Alliance Defense Fund filed a lawsuit on behalf of 12 nurses who work for the facility, which receives federal health funds and which told them they needed to assist abortions or be terminated from their employment. Kathleen Sebelius in connection with a case the state attorney general filed against Planned Parenthood.
A hearing on the case, which sees the Planned Parenthood of Mid-Missouri Kansas abortion business facing 107 felony charges of violating state abortion laws, was delayed for two weeks because 23 Planned Parenthood-specific state abortion reports have been discovered as destroyed. Now, Operation Rescue has filed the first round of open records demands with the Kansas governor’s office and with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) seeking public records that might reveal who was involved in shredding incriminating evidence against Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri in 2005.
